I see! The pictures you manipulated, I meant. I vaguely recall seeing all three of these different images of Spyro before. But you've blended them together so perfectly that, looking at this, it becomes hard to imagine that they were ever separate pictures, with their own backgrounds.
Ok first of all... Leave the broken glass effect away. Its crap and looks very painfull Secound, focus on the lighting. Only get one light spot on the image and try to choose it analysing the Render. At this image u made the main light source to the left top corner and when u look at the front spyro the light definently comes from the top, maybe bit from the right. Now the image is kind of impossible Altho abstract images never are but thats kind of important thing to get the light source on the right place. Third thing is that using brushes is VERY VERY hard. U cant get a good looking picture with brushes without adding anything else. There are only few brushes out there which looks gr8 without any other effects and those u used on the left top corner aint them Try to use C4D's on Planet Renders: [link] And if you're using Gimp, I think i remember right that u can adjust the layer style to exmaple: Screen, Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light, Color etc. And turning the operactivity u can make a really nice effect and blending style for the renders. Finaly or im not sure, u might want to leave the top right pixels away... they don't fit in the other effects. And now you are using 3 renders. I would only use 1 coz again its impossible to have 2 or more spyros at the same time in the same picture thats why u should use only one or two renders at the same time. And when you use 2 renders u want to make sure they blend to each others and stick them close to eachothers. Then u dont ruin the main point on the picture
I hope this helps you ;D But nice job for your 'first' one xD
